Frequently Asked Questions

Why won’t my garage door open?

The most common causes are a broken spring, a failed opener, a disconnected emergency release, or a door that’s off‑track. If the door is extremely heavy or won’t lift manually, the spring is usually the issue.

Why did my garage door spring break?

Springs wear out over time. Most last 7–12 years depending on usage, climate, and door weight. When they reach the end of their cycle life, they snap suddenly.

Can I open my garage door with a broken spring?

No — it’s unsafe and can damage the opener. The opener is not designed to lift the full weight of the door. Avoid using it until the spring is replaced.

How long does a garage door repair take?

Most repairs take 30–60 minutes. Spring replacements, cable repairs, roller replacements, and track adjustments are typically completed in one visit.

Do you offer same‑day service?

Yes. We provide same‑day service in North Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, and Cedar Park.
How much does garage door repair cost?

Pricing depends on the issue, parts required, and door type. We provide upfront pricing before any work begins.

Should I repair or replace my garage door?

If the door is structurally sound, repair is usually the best option. If the door is severely damaged, warped, or outdated, replacement may be more cost‑effective. For new doors, we refer customers to ProDoors.

Why is my garage door so loud?

Noise usually comes from worn rollers, loose hardware, lack of lubrication, or an aging opener. A tune‑up often solves the issue.

Do you repair all brands of garage doors and openers?

Yes — we service all major brands including LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Craftsman, and more.
How often should I maintain my garage door?
Once per year is recommended. Regular maintenance extends the life of springs, rollers, and openers.

Do you really offer free estimates?

Yes. I don’t charge trip fees or diagnostic fees. I believe you shouldn’t have to pay just to find out what something costs. In most cases, I can give an accurate estimate over the phone, and if I need to come out and take a look, there is still no charge.

Why don’t other companies list their prices?

Most larger companies have multiple technicians, wide service areas, and higher operating costs, which makes it difficult for them to publish fixed prices online. Some also prefer to diagnose the issue in person before quoting. As a small, local business, I’m able to keep my pricing simple, consistent, and transparent.

Do you charge extra for emergency repairs?

No. I don’t believe in emergency fees. When your garage door won’t open or close, it’s already stressful enough. I treat every call as important and offer same‑day service whenever possible, without adding extra charges.

Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?

Yes. I’m available most evenings, weekends, and holidays. I keep my schedule flexible so I can help when it’s most convenient for you. The only times I avoid scheduling are during the heaviest traffic hours to ensure appointments stay on time.

Can you give estimates over the phone?

Most of the time, yes. After installing and repairing thousands of garage doors, I can usually diagnose the issue with a few simple questions. This helps you know what to expect before I arrive.

Do you work on all brands of garage doors and openers?

Yes. I service most major brands of doors and openers, and I carry common replacement parts for fast repairs.

Do you offer same‑day service?

Yes. I do my best to provide same‑day service for all repairs. I keep my service area small and my schedule flexible so I can respond quickly when someone needs help.

Are your repairs guaranteed?

Yes. All repairs include a workmanship guarantee, and parts come with their own manufacturer warranties. I’m always here if you have questions or concerns after the job is done.
